Apple Blossom Charity Run
CPTC's first major charity event raised money in the effort to conquer childhood cancer by having a run through York, Adams and Cumberland Counties during the peak of scheduled apple blossom time. What better way to enjoy your British car and the beauty of central Pa and also help the fight against childhood cancer. The clubs invited other local British car clubs and challenged participation of other clubs/marques by matching the $10 registration/donation fee of any British car pre-registering for the event. Who would have thought someone would bring a new MG from England just for this event. More than 100% of the participation fee went to the charity.
The CPTC effort to Four Diamonds Fund resulted in
45 British Cars participating in the event;
Participant donations were $980
CPTC matching donation was $450
for a total to the Four Diamonds Fund of $1,430.
Thanks to all participants and the organizers of the event.
