Watkins Glen Vintage Races - September 9th.
While this is not an "official" event for the club, a significant number of members will be heading up for the SVRA vintage races. There will be a convoy heading up on Thursday morning and if you would like the safety of traveling in a group, join this bunch. We will proceed from our varoius origins and gather at Angie's Family Restaurant on Route 11/15 in New Buffalo (just north of Duncannon). If you would like to get breakfast there, arrive early enough to be ready to leave Angie's by 10AM. We will travel up Rt15 to Corning NY and will also be stopping for food and gas in Mansfield PA. Call John Krause at 717-697-9762 so we know who will be in the group.
CPTC Summer Picnic - September 19th.
After a great year of driving events, we always gather to say goodbye to summer with a picnic at Allenberry. This is the one event all year that you do not want to miss. Picnic starts at 1PM and usually lasts till around 5PM. Many unique and desirable gifts have been donated by our friends and will be available for your bid at our silent auction.
Dinner includes grilled steak, ribs, chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers and all the side dishes you love. Don't forget to leave room for a world famous Allenberry Resort sticky bun. Water, soda and beer will also be provided. Cost is $25 per person and $13 for children under 12. Send your check to John Krause at the club address found at the bottom of this page.
CPTC Fall Leaf Tour - October 17th.
After intense and in-depth planning, here is news that will make you smile whether you are in the Harrisburg or the Lebanon/Reading area. This year's event will have two starting points, the McDonald's at 4403 N. Front St., Hbg. and also the McDonald's at 1202 W. Maple St.,Lebanon (corner of Rt. 72 and Maple St.) We will gather at each starting point around 12:30pm and leave promptly at 1:00pm.
We plan on meeting up with each other along the way and finish our drive to the Scholls Family Restaurant in Pine Grove around 2:00 to 2:30. The cost of the smorgasbord is approximately $10.00(plus tip) and is BYOB if you wish to. Election of officers - November 7th.
Officers will be elected for a two year term at the November general meeting at Rich Valley Golf Club. The meeting starts promptly at 3PM. Positions up for re-election this year are Vice-President, Treasurer and Webmaster. If you feel capable of performing the duties and would like to be considered for the position, contact the President anytime between now and November 1st.
